Challenge Rules and Objectives – Pro Challenge
Understand the rules and objectives of the TX3 Funding Forex Pro Challenge, including profit targets, drawdowns, and payout conditions.
The Pro Challenge is structured with clearly defined rules to encourage disciplined, consistent trading while maintaining strict risk management. Traders must successfully complete two evaluation phases before progressing to a funded account.
1. Profit Targets
To advance through each phase:
Phase 1: 10% profit target (8% if using the Hybrid Max Loss / Profit Target add-on).
Phase 2: 5% profit target.
2. Minimum Trading Days
Each phase requires a minimum of 3 trading days.
There is no maximum trading day limit.
3. Daily Drawdown Limit
The daily drawdown is calculated at 5% of your account’s initial balance.
At 5 PM EST, the system checks your starting day balance and equity (including floating profit/loss). The higher of the two is used to apply the daily drawdown limit, but the percentage is always based on the initial balance only.
This ensures that your account remains protected while still allowing room for growth.
Example:
Initial Balance: $100,000 → Daily Drawdown = $5,000
If your balance at 5 PM EST is $100,000 and your equity is $105,000:
Drawdown limit applied = $105,000 – $5,000 = $100,000
Minimum equity allowed that day = $100,000
If your equity (including floating profit/loss) falls below this threshold, your account will be considered failed, and trading will no longer be permitted.
4. Maximum Overall Drawdown
Set at 10% of your starting balance.
Reduced to 8% if you have the Hybrid Max Loss / Profit Target add-on.
Unlike daily drawdown, this figure does not reset; it remains fixed at the starting balance level.
5. Payout Rules (Once Funded)
On-demand payouts are available once you achieve at least 2% profit and meet the account based consistency rule.
40% consistency for 50K accounts and below
30% consistency for 100K accounts
25% consistency for 200K accounts
20% consistency for 300K account
Minimum payout request: 2% of the starting balance.
Profit Split: 80% standard, or 90% with the Higher Profit Share add-on.
Payouts are processed within 1 business day.
A payout cap of 10% of the account's initial balance applies.
6. Consistency Rule
To request payouts, your highest trading day may not exceed the below based on account sizes:
40% consistency for 50K accounts and below
30% consistency for 100K accounts
25% consistency for 200K accounts
20% consistency for 300K account
If this threshold is exceeded, you must continue trading until profit distribution balances out.
7. News Trading
Allowed only with the News Trading add-on.
Without the add-on, trades cannot be placed within 5 minutes before or after a red-folder economic event.
Violations result in profit deductions.
